PRAYING FOR: EUROPE AND THE MIDDLE EAST
Bob and Carol Cave Overseas Ministry Coordinator for Europe and the Middle East
I would like to report and give praise as we recently held a Celebration meeting and Service with our newest family members, The Free Christian Church of Hungary. In a celebration service on October 5 we (IPHC) were formally "married" to the Free Christian Fellowship group of 18 Churches. Our WMM Director Dr. Doug Beacham officiated and we even had a celebration cake cutting after the service. It was a great time for all of us.
We had some witnesses that joined us: Lin Berry and Nicolas Nogales from Spain, Harold Presley, RMC from Great Britian, Peter Kressin from Germany, Dave and Linda Fannin RMC's from Hungary, Valery Reshetinsky and Sergey Perkhalskiy from Ukraine, Teo and Sanda Bulzan from Romania, Ben and Marianne Janssen missionaries to Romania, Bob and Carol Cave OMCs Europe & the Middle East and of course the Executive Board of the Free Christian Church headed up by President Laszlo Mezes. We also had some guests, Marc and Annemarie Lebrun from Paris France who were in Hungary on another engagement.
In conjunction with this event Dr. Beacham and I were able to touch base with a few of our great missionaries in Brussels, Amsterdam, Berlin, Budapest, Kiev and Israel.
A short praise how God is moving in Northern Galilee where pastor has pioneered a new church in the last 1 1/2 years. Most of the 140 plus are new coverts, filled with the Holy Spirit and on fire to spread the good news. Last month Dr. Beacham proclaimed the gospel in an outdoor meeting to 100 plus persons in pastor Hani Shehadeh's front court yard of his home.
One other comment, please continue to remember our church family in Tashkent Uzbekistan which has been raided by the police and closed for the last 6 for months. The church meets in cells for the present time.
Praise The Lord...................Bob & Carol

We had wonderful times in these past months in our ministry here in Brussels. We have started a month of fasting and prayer for three things: +That the devil stops his attack upon the members. + That all the members grow spiritually. + That the church grows in number. It has been a good month, all the church got involved. I believe that due to this in the past weeks some people have been saved in Logos Church.
Prayer Request:
Please pray that the fruit will be noticeable and that the new believers bring their friends over to the church so they can hear the gospel.
Please pray for encouragement for the members that are going thru different tests and trials.
Please help us in spiritual warfare against the attack of the devil against several members including me and my family.
Please pray for the Bible School, some students are their outside church problems in to the context of the school and I will have to deal with it.
Please pray for strength and spiritual anointing upon Lulu and I as well as health. A few little things are affecting us physically, nothing serious, but still annoying.
Thanks for your prayers and God bless you all

Pray for Tallinn, Estonia Larry and Deborah Mininger
This is from Larry and Debbie in Estonia:
We are in the process of planting a new church in Estonia. This winter we are gathering our core group together. We have not a core group as yet. That is what I would appreciate prayer for. We know that God has spoken about this plant to us. The Lord willing, we would like to have our group together for the winter to be established, prepared and in unity of spirit and vision. Our current plan is to go public next summer. In addition, we are asking the Lord for a supernatural and prophetic event for our start up. We expect that this will become a mother church that will affect the nation of Estonia. That is why we are so earnest about the roots being holy so the fruit can also be!
Thanks for friendship that testifies that we are not alone in all these ventures.
Coworkers in Christ Jesus, Larry and Debbie Mininger

It happened about 07:45 our time and approximately 21:45 California time. The cause of death not officially determined but is most likely a stroke.Larry and I have made travel arrangements to leave for the states Monday morning for the funeral on Friday. We thank you for your prayers! God’s mercies were renewed to us this morning and grace is multiplied.Debbie

Pray for Albania David and Valbona Pennoyer

Our prayer request would be that God would sustain us, give us strength and help this year to come to an end with all its problems really fast.
We have seen great things happen as well so we thank God that in spite of our weaknesses He is showing himself strong.
Some of our prayer requests are:
1. We are in desperate need of a teacher to come and teach our children starting in January/February.
2. Christopher will be starting grade 3 and Kimberley grade
3. They are using the ACE curriculum as a base but we are open to what the new teacher is able and willing to do.
We will provide lodging and some meals.
4. For some hard decisions we have to make with some in leadership who have made some choices contrary to the Word of God.
*For the spirit of unity and love to manifest itself among our staff and leadership.
* For a breakthrough of revival in the lives of all of us in our church.
5. For Valbona as she has started taking a university course part of which she does online.
6. For God to supply the resources necessary to continue the various programs that we have.
7. For the laws the government has passed making it difficult to hire people of spiritual quality
but having rather to hire based on their educational level.
8. Again for the laws that are pushing up and forcing us to pay salaries which is going to make it very difficult for us to keep the staff we have.
9. The spiral down of the US dollar combined with the rise in prices of all commodities is becoming a great hindrance.
As an example when I first came to Albania I could get for $1US - 187.9 lek. Now for $1US - 88 lek. We could buy a loaf of bread for 50 lek now it is 80 lek. A liter of oil from 115 to 190 and the list could go on and the prices are forecasted to continue to rise.
Pray that our income increases.
10. That the vision that God has given me, David, would come to full fruition despite the roadblocks and lack of resources.
Thank you for your prayers.

PRAYER FOCUS Praying for EUROPE AND THE MIDDLE EAST

Bob and Carol Cave Overseas Ministry Coordinator for Europe and the Middle East
Pray for them as they lead us

"Greetings to all on the European/Middle East team. That includes our National leaders as well. The longer we are walking in the Lord the more we realize the importance of being in communication in prayer. What a wonder to know the God of the Universe is available as I whisper is Name or have a "God thought". I am so grateful to Nancy for heading up our European WIN and have encouraged her to expand WIN into some of the places were you are laboring. Prayer is the power that makes our work possible and a prayer network ( WIN) is a wonderful tool to carry us through the good times and the difficult times
I encourage you to join with her as she gives you the tools to set up WIN in your field. She may be in touch with you over the next number of months to see how she can help you set up this network.

Pray for Rob and Michelle Crigger: missionaries to the UK

Hello all,We are in England!!! We arrived yesterday after a fairly smooth flight from Roanoke to Chicago and on to Heathrow. The kids did great on the flights! Thank you to all who prayed for them.We are fighting colds but doing well today. We spent a little bit of time yesterday with our Overseas Ministry Coordinator, Bob Cave and his wife Carol who showed us our new home and helped get us settled. They had already spent a week cleaning the house and getting it ready as well as stocking the fridge with essentials. They also gave us their car to use for as long as we need. So we are going to have to see when we buy car seats if they will all fit in the car. It will at the very least be temporary transportation. Bless them!Today we went to town on our own to the nearby mall and outdoor market. What an experience! Very little English was spoken by most of the people so we felt like we were in a foreign country. Even the people who "looked" English were not speaking it. Absolutely amazing the diversity here. I think we saw most of Europe, the Middle East and Asia represented here and we were only 4 or 5 blocks from our house. On the way to the mall we noticed a sign that was asking for people to contact the police as their had been a fatal stabbing one night a few weeks ago. As we walked back I asked the Lord to help me to love diversity and to have His heart of compassion for those we passed today. We are looking forward to making new friends soon.We are focusing on getting our suitcases unpacked and furniture moved around a bit to fit our family over the next few weeks. Then we need to purchase some things for the house. Rob was invited yesterday to speak at one of the area churches yesterday by the pastor who helped haul all our suitcases from the airport. He is the same age as Rob and longing for friendship. They seemed to really hit it off!Well it seems hard to believe that we are actually here. Please keep us in your prayer as we all adjust and accept the changes. Abby cried today that she couldn't go to the zoo with her friend in Virginia and misses her "old" house. I'm sure once the reality of us being far away from family sinks in, we might deal with a little more tears. We love you all and can't thank you enough for your prayers, financial support and love,Rob, Michelle, Samuel, Abby and Joshua Crigger

Pray for Tallinn, Estonia Larry and Deborah Mininger

We need prayer about:
We just got our Estonian team together and made a 7 month plan for a church start up. We are asking the Lord to help us find 10 families who will serve in leadership. We are asking the Lord for a miracle by supplying these families by January. Then we will spend the following 4-5 months establishing relationship, identifying their call and gift mix. Each person will complete several courses from our School of Ministry. For the 7 months prior to going public, we will meet midweek and then on Sundays, take them out in teams to churches and give them opportunity to minister according to their call and gifts. Our primary goal is that these leaders would be operating in the Holy Ghost before we go public with the official start up. We already have a pastor and his wife established. We are asking for 3 elders, 2 deacons, 1 Administrator, one journalist (PR person), one computer person, musicians, singers and children's workers. Thank you for caring enough to simply pray the prayer of agreement!

Pray for Turkey: Ismail and Angela, Igor and Lena, Jerry and Terry

Greetings from Igor and Lena in Izmir:
We would like to thank you for your participation in our ministry, God really has been faithful in providing for us and our family throughout these years. In spite of all financial challenges we have seen how things have been working out so we could do what we needed to, even a foreign country.
We were not only provided for but blessed and cherished. His word and promises have been true for us always.
Right now we feel like writing such a note.
Last several months we have been challenged to travel more frequently. God has called us to visit more places and more gatherings, some for learning, some for teaching. It looks like the new time in our lives is coming when we will have more travel to be able to connect with larger Body of Christ so we can continue to take in as well as pass on. All these extra traveling has created more need for finances. We have been trying to safe and cut from our family needs but since we grow in age and numbers it is not always a possibility. So we see we just need extra springs and wells to continue to be obedient and do what He calls us for. It is bigger then what we can do but it is very simple for God we serve.
So we decided to give out a call to see if He puts on your hearts to join us in this new stage in life and ministry so we can go where He calls us and do what He wants us. Right now we have about 1000$ of debt and about 1000$ of expenses in a near few months that we have no idea how will be provided for. Also we can see that we would need our monthly traveling budget increase about with 300$ a month.
These are not small numbers and we don’t want to be overwhelmed and we don’t want you also to feel overwhelmed. We present it before the Lord and His Body trusting that it will come in His timing and way.
Love you and bless you. We serve wonderful God.

PRAY FOR: NORTHWEST EUROPE

Harold & Kathleen PresleyIPHC - UK and NW Europe~ New Life for the Old World ~

Regional Ministry Coordinator for Northwest Europe

Thank you, for praying for our ministry in DK. We just returned from the Jutland of Denmark where we have a great relationship with the Open Door Church and Pastor Keld Pedersen. We taught, preached and helped in prayer ministry for a week. God always works miracles when we are there. Salvations, healings, deliverance, Praise God! One lady from Copenhagen returned this year for our annual gathering to testify that her teenage daughter had been healed from a crippling disease when we prayed for her last year. The teenager was meant to undergo surgery on her spine, but the doctors a miracle beat them to it.

Prayers for Norway… Alfred & Marie Green: please pray that the many people who have come to Jesus through the Green’s ministry will carry on faithfully, and a vibrant church can be formed having a Norwegian leader.

God-things are always happening among the ministries in Belgium. Pray for Mauricio & Lulu Salazar.
Pray for Holland… Matt & Femke Helland: Pray for more souls to be saved on all fronts.

With discretion, I do request your prayers for a good brother, here in our patch, who is an excellent worker & evangelist for the Lord. His marriage is on the rocks. Pray for full reconciliation please. His whole family needs it and we need them!

In the UK… the new church in Milton Keynes needs a pastor. In the meantime pray for the hosts: Jordan & Grace.

Pray for our summer intern from Australia, Jasmine Crilly. She’s one of the sharpest tacks in the carpet. We are blessed to have her. Pray for her as she helps set up children’s ministries in some of the newer congregations; and for children to come to Jesus as she actively reaches out; and for her finances as she has stepped out on faith with her dollars from Oz!

Pray for Martyn Greenway in Wales; for protection as he purposefully outreaches among people wrapped up in dark powers and demonic beliefs; several have seen the light and turned to Jesus. Pray for more and more.

Pray for 3 of our London Pastors need favour from the British Home-Office for leave to remain with no restrictions. Two in particular have had their papers on appeal up to 14 years! Pray for blessing and courage for them as they carry on with integrity and strength serving the Lord.

Pray for the Flood Victims!! Drought last summer in UK; floods this year! Is God trying to get our attention or what!? Pray for safety & protection, but also for hearts to be awakened to the Holy Sprit’s wooing.

… Arson…accidents…hardships. One of our pastor’s car was torched to ashes recently. Shortly afterward, my car launched a wheel and axle while zipping down a busy motorway! No one was hurt, but the car was a write-off. Todd & Steph’s son was in hospital for open-heart surgery at the time. Just this week our only property in London suffered an arson attempt. Little damage, but no doubt it was arson. So, pray that we will embrace the good things God evidently has in store, and that we will all come out from under the devil’s onslaught as we carry on like good soldiers of His love and power!

…Finally for our daughter, Bethany. She returns to Emmanuel College in GA, USA next week. Please agree with us in prayer for: Finances for the $17K tuition, safety and strength as she travels with the choir, and favour in her social life.

Pray for Zimbabwe

Subject: Please pray for Zimbabwe

Take 5 min to read this. If it helped England it will help theZims. We need all the help we can get. This is from Margaret Kriel's Morning Mirror, please try and pass it onto as many people as you can, Many thanks Dear World, I am a 16 year old person living in Zimbabwe . I think the time has comefor a more directappeal, and so I am writing to you, the world.Maybe, just maybe, there might be someone out there who can help us... It's tough here now. The inflation rate is so high that if you don'tchange money within 6hours you could get half the amount of foreign currency that you wouldhave originallyreceived. We're starving now; people die around us. In the last year alone atleast ten people associated personally with my family have died despitethe fact that they were only middle-aged. Other people don't make it to middle age. They don't even make it past childhood. Our once-proud nation is on it's knees. We flee or die. This beautiful, bountiful once-rich land has become a living hell. We have dealt with ituntil now; we have made a plan. That was the Zimbabwean motto: "MAKE APLAN".But now we can't make a plan. We're too tired, too broken, too bankrupt. We can't afford life, and life does not cost much, not really. We cannot afford to eat, we cannot afford to drink, and we cannot afford to makemistakes, because if we do we die. We don't have the capital to supportourselves, and those few who do, have to deal with the horror of watching their friends and family fall into absolute poverty as theycannot afford to help them. We're waiting desperately for a great hand to pick us up out of the dirtbecause at the moment we are outnumbered by Fate herself, and so we close our eyes and pray. We have fought for too long, and have beenbrought to breaking point. We simply stand, heads down, and bear it. Ourspirit has gone; we are defeated. After a valiant struggle of over fifteen years, we have been broken. There is no will left, no spirit. Like a horse that has been beaten until it cannot fight anymore; we are the same, and, like that horse, west and dusty, scarred and alone, with dried blood on our sides and lash marks along our flanks. Our ribs too stand out; our hide is also dull. Our eyes are glazed, our throats are parched, and our knees struggle to support us so that we stand with splayed legs to bear the brunt of the next beating, too dejected even to whimper...This is my plea. The thought of picking ourselves up again is sickening;one can only take so many blows before oblivion is reached, and we are teetering on the rim of the bottomless void. One more push will be the end of us all...There must be someone out there who can do something. There must be someone out there who cares! We are a destroyed nation, and the world sits back and watches, pretending they cannot hear our cries. I appeal to you all...HELP US! A 16 YEAR OLD ZIMBABWEAN......DEAR FRIEND, IN WORLD WAR II WHILE HITLER WAS BRUTALLY TAKING OVER THE WORLD, THERE WAS AN ADVISOR TO CHURCHILL WHO ORGANISED A GROUP OF PEOPLE WHO DROPPED WHAT THEY WERE DOING EVERY NIGHT AT A PRESCRIBED TIME FOR JUST ONEMINUTE TO COLLECTIVELY PRAY FOR THE SAFETY OF ENGLAND , ITS' PEOPLE AND PEACE. THINGS DRASTICALLY CHANGED AND WELL, THE REST IS HISTORY GOD IS THE ANSWER AND PRAYER IS THE ONLY WAY FOR ZIMBABWE !IN VIEW OF THE CURRENT STATE OF AFFAIRS IN ZIMBABWE WE ARE ORGANISING ADAILY ONE MINUTE PRAYER TIME AT 8 A.M. OR 1 P.M. OR 8.00 P.M. AT ANY ONE OF THESE TIMES, PLEASE STOP WHATEVER YOU ARE DOING AND SPEND THAT ONE MINUTE PRAYING FOR GOD TO INTERVENE IN THE AFFAIRS OF OUR COUNTRY. SOMEONE SAID IF CHRISTIANS REALLY UNDERSTOOD THE FULL EXTENT OF THE POWER WE HAVE AVAILABLE THROUGH PRAYER, WE MIGHT BE SPEECHLESS.OUR PRAYERS ARE THE MOST POWERFUL ASSET WE HAVE. TOGETHER WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE. IF YOU KNOW ANY OTHER CHRISTIAN BROTHER AND SISTER WHO WOULD LIKE TO PARTICIPATE IN THIS POWERFUL EXERCISE, PLEASE PASS THIS ALONG. Pray for Turkey: Ismail and Angela, Igor and Lena, Jerry and Terry
Greetings from Igor and Lena and kids:
We are doing well, we have had a few peaceful weeks in Ukraine when we were able to spend time seeking the Lord and also sharing our missions experience with people in the churches. God led us to visit churches in the East in Lugansk area and in the South, Crimea.
It has been a blessing to see hunger in people to learn about foreign lands and opportunities to serve there. We see how little by little God has been raising His faithful ones to prepare them for His missions. Somehow these people find their way to us or we find our way to them to share with them the lessons we have learnt on the mission field. The most useful lessons have been learnt by our mistakes and it is so precious to pass on this knowledge so they would not be repeated.
Maybe you hear form the news that Turkey is coming through very intense time right now. After being more or les passive different forces start to rise up. The atmosphere is changing and it makes us to think what is next.
One of the things we feel really strong about is to stop any human agenda and activity, letting the Lord to lead us and lead things to us. We have cancelled many things we have been doing before, making ourselves empty before Him so He can fill us. It is not easy to wait for the Lord, there is a temptation to initiate things but we believe that is such crucial time it is important to wait for Him. Please pray for us so we would be sensitive to what He wants from us.
As you know we have let a Turkish brother to lead the church in our absence. It has been a good experience; he understands very well what Turkish believers go through and is able to comfort them. It has been something that we have been missing all these years because we just have not been getting it how is it for a Turk to become a Christian. So praise God Holy Spirit can comfort His children through him in a better way.
The Russian women group has been meeting several times and new women have been added. Pray for them all to be born again. One of the women went to her home town and shared the Gospel with her sister and now she is getting ready to be baptized and sister’s husband is meeting with the pastor’s in that town to learn more about salvation. That is especially neat because we rarely taught about how to do evangelism. The Spirit teaches that Himself.
Also a Muslim boyfriend of another girl who was baptized in May has been saved and now is praying for his mother also to receive the Gospel. His name is Ozgun, he is a ballet dances. Let’s keep him in prayer.
There are more things to share, little by little the Kingdoms takes the territory. It is often invisible, but it is there, let’s pray for the rain of the Holy Spirit on the seed. Turkey is spiritually a dry place but there is always water in a desert for God’s chosen ones. Let’s hit a rock together so they can drink and be blessed.
Igor and Lena

We have had a great time working with other churches in an event called "Serve the City' over Ascension weekend. The goal is to show Gods love to people in practical ways by serving them. We organised a block party and about 500 people and kids showed up. We have many of their addresses and please pray with us for open doors as we follow up with these families. Many of them are Turkish or Moroccan. Would you pray with us for people to come to know Jesus? Continue to pray for our kids club...growth, safety and good relationships with the Muslim families.

We have come back from a 3 days retreat led by Korean ministers on God’s love and freedom. We had 2 new Turkish guys with us, and the husbands of our Russian women. It has been a first time for them to be exposed to such meetings and hear his kind of massage. One of them, Ufuk, just 3 months ago swore that he would never visit the church, but God does His work. Pray for him and Irina, his Ukraiian wife, who came to the Lord few months ago. First time a communion in our church was led by a Turkish brother. He shared about it in a very Turkish way and it sounded beautiful. Please pray for him and his spiritual growth as a leader. After the martyrdom of the believers in Malatya, east of Turkey, all churches in Turkey got together for prayer. There have been birthed a desire for unity and intimacy. The police got around the meeting place to protect the believers. There have been hold first public Christian funeral with media, police and even authorities present. There have been many proclamations made, a lot about the hope of resurrection and reward of Christ and also a true call to love the enemies, there have been sang songs of praise and celebration. The tears have been mixed with awe and worship and even joy before the Lord. . It has been very powerful since the funerals. Thank you for holding us up in prayer. We trust the Lord to use our common efforts for His glory and to work out the impossible. Let us rejoice together!
It is pure grace of our Lord to be able to see these 5 people being baptized. The recent events could not make them doubt about their choice. We had 2 Turkish brothers and 3 Russian-speaking women, originally from Ukraine, Russia and Moldova, coming into the waters to confirm their new start with Jesus. Let\s be praying for them and their further spiritual growth!

Dear friends and supporters,

Exciting things are happening, here in Amsterdam!

First of all our weekly children's bible club is AWESOME! We have between 30 and 50 kids come every week, many of them come from Morrocan homes. We visit the kids every week and are getting to know the parents. They invite us in for tea or dinner and we really feel that we are connecting to these families. We live in times where the interaction between Muslim immigrants and Europeans is mostly very tense, so we as well as they feel like these visits are a 'breath of fresh air', just being friends and accepting each others culture. We really feel that so many of you are praying for us. Many neighborhoods like the one we work in struggle with youth that are violent, disrespecting authority and causing problems. In our group we have never, not once, had problems with the kids! No fights, no big mouthing. They are repectful when we talk about Jesus, they behave well...this is truly by Gods grace! Keep on praying!

With Easter we had 2 celebrations. About 5 of the parents from our children's program came; one Moroccan mom, who we are building a very special relationship with now. We ministered to about 50 people that weekend, and now are trying to connect with these people...We are visiting a lot of people in their homes every week. We share the love of Jesus with them, pray for them. Changing Amsterdam, one person at the time! There are some pictures of Easter attached.

Some of you might remember the story that we shared in our newsletter about our friend from Afghanistan. The mother is nearly blind and I asked if I could pray for her eyes. That night she had a dream, which she believes is from God.
Well, today I visited the family and the mother told me that she had had another dream. She dreamed that I (Femke) was on a boat, reading the bible and telling them 'I am a daughter of God' after that I asked them to walk over the water to me and they did this and did not sink. We read the story in Matthew 14 where Peter asks Jesus, that if it is really the Lord, that he can walk over the water to Him. When we read this, the mother was amazed...exactly as in my dream, she said. I told them that deciding to following Jesus is just like stepping out on the water, you don't know what to expect and it might be scary, but He is always there, ready to hold your hand, and you can trust Him!
It was a beautiful moment where the ladies told me that they believe in Jesus. They also told me about the fear they have about becoming Christians, because of the persecutions. Will you continue to pray with us for these two women?

Our kids are doing great. Hannah is almost 6 months and she is adorable. Judah is a great big brother, starting to look more and more like his dad (see picture).

We love and appreciate you all. Thank you for praying and sowing.

Blessings,
Matt and Femke Helland

Eastern Europe Dave and Linda Fannin
Regional Ministry Coordinator for Eastern Europe/ Middle East

We have just returned from our week-long journey into Turkey. We are not sure how much news has been announced in the news but we have some tragic news to report. While preparing for this journey we felt a real burden to pray more fervently for national missionaries in Turkey. In our preparation I happened to put into my carry-on luggage a reading book for the long journey. I began reading the night before "Through Gates of Splendor" by Elizabeth Elliot. She was the wife of Jim Elliot, one of the five missionary men killed by the Auca indians in Ecuador. For some strange reason I was drawn to read this up-to-date version again.

You can imagine how shocked we were when we boarded the plane and took our ususal newspaper to read on the flight. "One German missionary and two Turkish Christians murdered". Our hearts were so burdened to read of this news and our thoughts went immediately to our young missionary couples in various parts of Turkey and we began to pray in our hearts for Ismail and Angela and their two little boys living in the capital of Ankara. Then our thoughts drifted to Igor and Lena and their three little girls and one little one on the way. This precious couple lives along the seacoast. While we were in Izmir we had a brief time with Ricardo Ruiz family and wife and two little girls. He was working with the Turkish people in Mangalia, Romania and had to leave the country because of his visa situation. It just so happened our Romanian superintendent was on this journey with us. He was a tremendous help to Ricardo by helping him at the Romanian Consulate in Turkey. Pray for these young missionary families that God's protection would be upon them as they struggle to take the "Good News" into uncharted territories. The German missionary who was killed has three little children. He was only 46. The other Turkish leader killed had two little children and the other young man was being discipled.

On a lighter note we are happy to report to you that we have just purchased a property for, according to Pastor Ismail, the first Evangelical, full gospel church, in Turkey!!! Right in the capital! We need more men like bold and courageous Ismail. We asked Ismail if we had permission to write about the happenings in Turkey. He says the Christians realize that they have to become bold and the proclamation must go out. So he said not to hide anything and to write about the suffering as well as the joys of the Christians and work in Turkey. The blood of the martyrs and the persecution of the church will only help it to increase! There is not one life that is given in vain. The Turkish people we horrified and shocked and disgusted. It is causing many to think about their own lives and many are disgusted with Islam! They are a secular-humanistic society.

You will be hearing more of this event by the missionaries and also Ismail has been asked to write articles for the Experience magazine. It is reported that there are well over 3,000 born again Christians in Turkey. Ismail said that 10 years ago there were only ten, when we came to Turkey in 2001, there were 2000, and this year in 2007 it is reported that there are over 3,000. These are the ones who are not afraid to come out and testify.

After our church meeting on Tuesday we met with a young girl who took a chance on coming to church. She said to Dave that her father had warned her that the missionary might "kill" her! Maybe in retaliation? We had our picture made with her. Please pray for Her. She takes a chance every time she comes to church. It truly is becoming a life and death situation for many.

God is moving in Turkey! The gates of hell and everything Satan has to offer cannot come against the Church that Jesus has established!!!

God bless you,
Dave and Linda Fannin

Thank you for your prayers for the People to People Visit the Vision trip to Ventanilla, Peru. Nineteen ladies joined Janese and Jana Delano as we ministered in Peru with Tony and Sherry Martin. Armed with medical packets, vitamins, food and toys, each day we would visit homes that had no running water and were constructed of cardboard and blanket walls. Nevertheless, we were greeted with smiles and hugs as we prayed for each family and distributed our supplies. At the feeding station on Saturday, we were blessed to see the local church members share the Gospel with the local children as they were given hot meals. God’s presence and protection was with us throughout the trip. Thank you for your prayers.

Please pray for our Easter outreach. We are going to invite a lot of the parents of the children that come to the program. They might hear the Easter message for the 1st time! Pray that Gods spirit would touch people’s hearts.

God has been good in these past months to help us as we continue to set up the new RDC in Hungary. There is a lot to be done before we can actually accommodate teams and guests. We are just so thrilled that we have come this far and we know that the rest will be easier.. We thank the Lord that some of the churches are beginning to send in small amounts of funding for setting up. Last month we had evangelism outreach and the youth had to ask at least three people to come to the program. The place was rocking with 76 young people filing in and out of the doors. We were so surprised when the youth group took three weeks of their time and expense to renovate and paint the room downstairs where they meet for prayer, coffee house evenings, and worship practice. They did this on their own and we feel it is a definite stride toward spiritual maturity

Ben and Marianne Janssen Pray for CICM; a training program for Eastern Europe

For the next two months we ask the Lord to keep us safe while itinerating in the US. We hope to be back in Europe in June. Much prayer is needed for the continuing church planting efforts in Eastern Europe as well as the enlarging of the Bible schools and Biblical institutes in the east and the west. Please, pray for the Azerbaijani Christians who face increasing persecution.

Blessings

Hello from Izmir. This is a quick note about what is going on in our lives and ministry. Last few months God has been working very heavily on our hearts, many things like ways of "men" and "human wisdom" needed to be chased away. God has led us to a newer place with Him, filled with more light.
We are called to battle in the light not in darkness. So God needed to remove many things from our hearts so we could come in better place with Him.
It resulted in our ministry; we have started to trust the Lord in the hearts of people. Our heart right is to help our brothers and sisters in Turkey to reach their fullness in the Lord. The culture aspect makes it difficult because we want to "give them a heavy package". Please keep praying for us and wisdom from above on us so God could do what He wants and we would not interfere with His plans.
Pray also for more of Holy Spirit presence in this nation, it is so needed for the change to happen.
Blessings from Igor, Lena and girls.

Dear intercessors and friends:

My 97 year old grandmother who was in a coma went home to be with the Lord. She was surrounded by her family. She was living with her son and her two daughters went over every day to help take care of her. My mother who is almost 80 years old was faithful to her and took very good care of her. I was with my mother during this time. My grandmother Ruth Echols Wright (I’m named after my grandmother); was buried on Wed. at London Bridge Baptist Church.
I’m just thankful that I was with my mother. Everyone is at peace with her passing I guess it’s because we all trust the Lord and He gives us special grace at this time. She lived such a long rich life; she was 97 years young. She lived by herself until she was 96. She loved her grandchildren, great-grand children and her great-great grand-children. The hard part is saying goodbye but we are thankful for her full rich life. Thank the Lord for a Christian family. I’m grateful that we were her in the US. Remember the family in your prayers.

Thank you for praying

While in Israel I was blessed in many ways. I led a French Jew to the Lord, and had extensive talks with others. I also prayed with one soldier who is seeking to know God better. The soldier is not simply ‘religious’ but is also committed to have a relationship with the Lord. I am sending both of them a Bible. There are a number of churches in Israel and I hope that now they will continue their walk. I visited three different churches, two were Messianic Jews and the other was a Lutheran Evangelical Church. I liked the latter more than the others. But I think the Messianic churches would be best for the new believers.
